The other day we had a MSA Altair 4X, come to us and when powered on ALL of the sensor came up with errors. So I decided to open it up and see what was going on. This is what I found.
So I decided to call MSA, I spoke with AJ. He informed me that this is a known Issue for December 2013 models. I have never seen a Sensor leak so much electrolytic fluid. Since the leak was so bad it corroded the main board. I'm pretty sure this unit has a multi-layer PCB, so repair is out of the question. However, MSA is aware of this issue and will warranty this whole unit. If you're uncomfortable with taking apart your monitor, send it in and we'll take care of it for you.
